Sail Measurement

Nine times out of ten we will have rig data for your yacht in our comprehensive design database however, if your yacht is a one-off and we haven't built sails for you before; or if you have a non-standard rig, we will need you to provide us with just 4 basic measurements. These are I, P, J and E (See adjacent diagram).

Once you have placed your order we will need a much more comprehensive set of measurements, together with specifications of your mast, rig, furling gear etc. Normally one of our experience Sail Consultants will do this for you. However in some limited circumstances we might ask you to provide the data, either by measuring your rig yourself or by asking a local rigger to do it for you.
